The main focal points of the Institute for Future Studies are in
research, development and implementation in the fields of:
 

• Theory & Models: Research on pedagogical theories and models and their application in different learning settings
• Skills & Competences: Acknowledgment of competences and skills acquired in formal and informal learning situations
• eTutoring: Development of eTutor training concepts and courses on eTutoring
• Evaluation: Research on the evaluation of ICT based training and conducting evaluation
• 3d & social software: Development of 3d learning software and fitting pedagogical model
• Accessibility & design for all: Reserach on needs of specific target groups, esp. elderly, in relation to ICT based learning

Besides that the IFS offers services in the development of on-line learning environments and courses; on European programmes, projects and co-operations; on the development and implementation of training programmes; project evaluation, assistance and management.
